Be individual with Tie dyed T-shirts. Wear Unique. Sell Unique.

Do you have a clothing flea market stall?

Are you selling all the same stuff as everybody else?

Do you need something to spice up and rejuvenate your clothing stall at the flea market?

Tie dyed T-shirts are back!

Buy a collection of plain white or light coloured, t-shirts and vests, and turn them into client stopping clothing items that will draw people into your flea market stall. If possible, source lightweight linen tops and slacks, and use those too.

The beauty of tie dying items of clothing is that no two items will ever be the same. It may have the same cut as another, and the colours used may be the same as those on another garment, but the pattern will always be unique.

Use a cold water dye, and go for funky vibrant colours that will appeal to the young, and the young at heart.

When tying the garments, try to visualize the end product, remembering that the tied section will have little or no colour, depending on how tightly you tie it. With practice and experience you will be able to mix colours, and produce multi coloured items.

Hang your tie dyed articles prominently in your flea market stall, and wear one of your own tie dyed t-shirts, with a tie dyed headband and wristlet.

    Hi There

I also do Hippie Tie-Dyed Clothing, I’m based in Johannesburg….something I’ve always loved and now that I’ve been retrenched I can focus on growing my small
home business…it’s been a tough year, and not making much of a dent in the cash
flow problem, but hopefully 2011 will bring in alot of business for me :0)

    Peace and Love to all

    Hi Jimmy

We’re sorry people haven’t answered your questions – but it’s good to hear that you are eager to help those who ask questions – good going! We just realised that although our free advertising pages are for South Africans only, there’s nothing stopping International “flea market” folk from “advertising” via the comment sections of our articles on this blog (our online fleamarket blog is still fairly new) – as long as the comments/adverts do not appear like spam, and as long as the comments are made on appropriate/related articles. We will moderate comments and decide for ourselves which to allow to be published. Thanks for the comment, Jimmy, – had a peek at your site – your tie dyed t-shirts are cool!
